Our sweet Melissa Anne was called home on January 8th due to lifelong complications from diabetes.  She fought a courageous battle to the end.  Her loving family was at her side.  Born November 17, 1977, Salt Lake City, Utah to a loving family that adored her.  She was 34 years old.  She leaves behind her loving parents, Anita M. and Roy Sargent and most of all her precious seven year old daughter Kamylle Anne.

She enjoyed crafts, camping, spending time with her family, friends and shopping.  She graduated from Olympus High School in 1996.  Melissa was such a giving person and would do anything she could to help out.  She was a member of the LDS Church.

She is also survived by siblings, Chris (Jolee) Henriod, Matt Henriod, Julie (Don) Clegg, Sara (Ben) Dumas, Allison Henriod, Heather (Rodney) Hansen, Dennis Sargent, Staci Sargent and grandmother, Mae Eleanor Vincent.  Preceded in death by 3 grandfathers, 3 grandmothers and one aunt.

Viewing will be held on Friday, January 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.).  Funeral will be at the Alta Heights Ward, 1500 East 8600 South, Saturday, January 14th, 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.  Interment at Hoytsville City Cemetery, Hoytsville, Utah.

In lieu of flowers an account has been set up under Melissa A. Henriod for her daughter Kamylle at America First Credit Union.

My beautiful sweet Melissa. I miss you and my heart aches like a huge open wound for you. I miss the calls from you when you went to dialysis. I miss your smiling face when you came to Idaho and we had such a great time. I see you when we came to SLC and went to dinner with you and Kamylle. I wished I would have known so I could have talked to you one more time. Your sweet spirit and loving kindness to all will be missed! I love you my daughter! Your Dad......Bruce

Melissa was my 6th grade girl friend...I was so saddened to hear of her passing today at work. My mother was friends with her mom when she worked at Dan's. So sorry for your loss.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Melissa.

At such times of sorrow we may ask, "Will I ever see or embrace my loved one again?" Jesus answers at John 11:11-44 saying "Lazarus! Come on out!" And he did.
Share your sympathies and condolences.
