John Laten Ballou

John Laten Ballou Jr passed away on May 16, 2026, surrounded by his family in his home in Cottonwood Heights. He was born to John Laten and Grace Rieck Ballou on February 7, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. John married Judy Middlemas on March 19, 1970 in the Salt Lake Temple.

John was a family man and his greatest wish was to be remembered as a successful husband, father, grandfather and as a hard worker. Everyone close to him knows that he accomplished all of those things. John leaves a lasting legacy through his posterity

He is survived by his spouse Judy, and children Jean-Paul, Joslyn (John), Jacque (Heidi), and Josette (Billy). He was loved by his grandchildren Tatumn (Drew), Sullivan, Porter, Lucy, Chelsea, Lola, Eliza, Jillian, Charlotte, Laten and Lydia.
