Nicole Brooks

Nicole Brooks (48); loving sister, daughter and mother, passed away on May 28, 2026 at home unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm in her sleep.

She will forever remain our beautiful and thoughtful Colee Bear — a quiet force of boundless love.

Nicole loved without conditions or limits. Her heart knew no strangers, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do to help another soul. She closed her eyes one peaceful night to dream, and gently opened them in heaven.

Now she watches over us as our loving guardian, her light still shining softly in our lives. We love you, Nicole. You will live forever in our hearts and in every cherished memory.

Born November 10, 1977 in Murray, Utah to Lawrence Merlin Brooks and Paula Kay Nichols Brooks.

Nicole married Sam Patterson in Murray, Utah whom passed away on December 18, 2009.

Survived by; Her children; William (18), Bella (14) and Chase (4). Her mother; Paula Kay Nichols Brooks, Grandmother; Barbra Alice Nichols.
Siblings; Lauren (Troy), Melanie (Jeremy), Melissa, Spencer (Whitney) and Lindsay (Spencer) Her fiancé, Jon Arthur Gibson and his children: Eden (25), Knoah (19), Khloe (17), Kensi (15), and Knoel (14) as well Jon’s mother, Melba Lou Gibson.
Nicole had many loving, aunts, nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins

Nicole has been reunited with her father, Lawrence Merlin Brooks, her grandfather Edgar Keith Nichols and uncles Brian, Bruce and Brett Nichols.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday, June 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Boulevard (7600 South) Salt Lake City, UT 84121. A viewing will be held, Friday, June 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Cannon Mortuary prior to the funeral service.
