Robert Moore

August 13, 1932 — November 7, 2022

Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa peacefully passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, in Draper, Utah. Bob was born on August 13, 1932, in Preston, Idaho to Ernest Cyril and Anna Larson Moore.

Bob enjoyed growing up in a small community with his two older brothers, Ernest and Dale. He loved music, performed in musicals, and won many vocal competitions at Preston High School and the University of Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1955 with a degree in PharmD.

He married Martha JoAnn Balls Moore in the Logan Temple on June 24, 1955. The two were inseparable and always taking care of one another during their 67+ year marriage.

Bob completed his military service in the Air Force, taking his bride to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Bob also did a short tour in Greenland at Thule Air Base with the Strategic Air Command, before moving back to Salt Lake City. Bob started his career as a pharmacist at local pharmacies and then enjoyed a 31+ year career at LDS Hospital in pharmacy administration.

Bob valued his family above all else, and truly cherished his time with them. He loved attending his grandchildren’s activities and celebrated their accomplishments. He spent many hours creating special photo albums for his children and grandchildren and loved creating memories with them.

Bob was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as bishop of the East Millcreek 12th Ward. He spent countless hours helping his neighbors, friends, and especially enjoyed working with the youth. Bob and JoAnn served service missions at a Salt Lake City ward and at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Conference Center. He had a deep love for the scriptures and enjoyed doing family history.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two older brothers, and a great- great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Martha JoAnn Balls Moore and their 3 children, Karri Adams (Allen), Stacey Harvey (Dan), Barry Moore (Julie), 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Saturday November 19th from 10:00 am to 11:45 am at the East Millcreek 12th Ward, 3103 East Craig Drive (3600 South) prior to a family graveside service at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

We would like to thank all those that have provided service to Bob and JoAnn, including neighbors, and service providers at the Murray IHC Dialysis center, as well as the caregivers at Ashford Assisted Living in Draper.
