Pamela Nelson

April 11, 1952 — May 25, 2021

Pamela Bond Nelson, a loving, gentle and generous wife, mother and grandmother passed away from breast cancer on the afternoon of May 25th, 2021. She was born to Jack and Laverne Bond on April 11, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Pamela Married the Luckiest man on earth, Steven Nelson in the Salt Lake Temple on April 14, 1976. She is survived by her husband and two children, S. Geoffrey and Morrigan (wife Anne-Marie and children Cian and Colin), brother Colonel Stephen J Bond (ret.), Sisters Merilee (Gomez) and Karilynn (Taylor).

During her life, she was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her favorite calling was that of Junior Sunday School Teacher. She loved teaching and being with this wonderful and bright rising generation (her words).

Pam graduated from the University of Utah cum lade with a B.S. degree in English. She continued her education to become a High School teacher until she began raising her family. Eventually to assist in our finances, she became a loan officer with a local Credit Union. Because of her good judgment, honesty and smarts she became a Branch Manager with the Credit Union. After several years, her gift with finances moved her interest into Tax Law and she became a professional tax preparer serving for many years with Whitehouse and Associates.

In her spare time, one of her hobbies included ceramics which involved the casting, firing, and painting of figurines made of both porcelain and clay. Each of these figurines was made for decorating the home during the holidays and many just for fun. But her main form of relaxation revolved around reading. Once her children were raised, she could easily read a book a day. She was a natural speed reader with total comprehension. Steve Nelson married way above his pay grade.
