Marilyn Wilcox Wilson

Marilyn Ruth Buss Wilcox Wilson of Cottonwood Heights, Utah passed away on March 28, 2021.

She was born in Ogden, Utah on November 18, 1934, to Walter Richard Buss and Edna Taylor. She attended schools in Ogden and Palo Alto, California. They were Quincy Elementary, Stanford Elementary, Lewis Jr. High, and graduated from Ogden High and Weber Jr. College.

She married John Francis Wilcox on December 9, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 7 children. He passed away on March 3, 2000. She later married Wesley Herman Wilson on June 20, 2006, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Active in the LDS church she served in all auxiliaries. She loved music, sang many solos and was in multiple choruses and musicals and enjoyed taking organ lessons.  She was active in 2 book clubs, Geodiscipulus RV travel club, Brighton Cultural Club, Opera Appreciation Club, and Red Hat Good Golly Dollies. She loved to travel and visited several countries and most states within the US.

She is survived by sons James Alan (girlfriend Ruthie), Jeffrey Lynn (Lisa), Jerold Michael (Fiance - Ronda), daughters Julie Ann (Robert) Williams, Jennifer (Kelly) Biggs. Step-children, Phillip (Christine) Wilson, Paul (Leah) Wilson, Elizabeth Wilson, and Roozie (Yoseph Desta) Wilson. Siblings, Warren R. (Beverly) Buss, Barbara Jones. 14 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grand Children, 5 Step-Grandchildren, and 2 Step-Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, brothers- Richard & David W, husband- John, son- Jason Wayne, daughter- Jana Lyn, brother-in-law- Steve Jones, and daughter-in-law- Kathryn.

A viewing will be held at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South), Cottonwood Heights, Utah on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the day of service one-hour prior at the place of service. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, April 1 at 11:00 am at 2895 E Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84093.

The Interment will be at the Ogden City Cemetery (1875 Monroe Blvd) directly following the funeral services.
