Lamont Lamb

March 11, 1932 — May 23, 2021

Lamont Lamb passed away on May 23, 2021, after reaching the age of 89 years old.

Lamont was born on March 11, 1932 to Jesse Don Lamb and Bertha Archibald. As a young man he learned the importance of hard work, education, and fun. He gravitated toward sports and competition.

On December 1, 1950 Lamont was sealed to his high school sweetheart Darlene Davis. In 1954, he graduated from Utah State University with a degree in agriculture. Lamont’s work took them to various states where they were able to raise three beautiful children: Rodney, David, and Julie. After retirement, Lamont and Darlene served two missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, one in Tonga and one at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Lamont loved his missions and the opportunities they gave for him to serve others and share his testimony of the restored gospel.

He was a strong patriarch of his family, and a good friend to all. Lamont was a man who never cared much about himself; instead he was focused on helping those around him.

He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them. Lamont was passionate about his grandchildren. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather, and he always had a happy demeanor.

He is loved and will be missed by many. In times like this, it is comforting to have a knowledge that life does not end at death and that families are forever. We know that Lamont had a beautiful reunion with his beloved wife and sons.

Lamont is proceeded in death by his two parents, wife Darlene, and children Rodney and David. He is survived by his loving daughter Julie Jaussi, son-in-law Hal Jaussi, daughter-in-law Jan Lamb, 8 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
