Kimberly Dawn (Jensen) Darger

June 22, 1976 ~ June 20, 2021 (age 44)

There is beauty all around when there's love at home. Love at home is centered in the heart of Kimberly Dawn Jensen Darger, who returned to her Heavenly Home June 20, 2021.

Kimberly, who went by Kim, was born on June 22, 1976, in Murray Utah, to David and Janet Jensen. Kim leaves behind a rich legacy of family values and unconditional love for her family, friends, community and church.

Kim married her high school sweetheart, Samuel Darger on September 14, 1996 at the Pioneer House in Draper. A year later they were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple. They were parents of five beautiful children.

Kim loved kids and surrounded herself with them throughout her life. After helping her mother raise her eight younger siblings, Kim worked in daycare centers throughout the Salt Lake Valley.  Kim went to Salt Lake Community College to get her Child Development Associate (CDA) before being blessed with children of her own.

Once Kim’s children were in school, she started working at Falcon Ridge Elementary as a recess coach and critical needs worker. She also worked for the West Jordan Police Department as a crossing guard and helped clean the station. Through both jobs, Kim grew a fan club of children, from elementary to high school, all of whom she knew by name.

In 2015, Kimberly adopted her “furry family” also known as the Mascot Miracle Foundation (MMF). Kim spent her time serving those in the community with physical disabilities and illnesses. In 2016, Kim was awarded as an Honorary Mascot for her countless hours of volunteer work. Kim was a strong advocate for the MMF as they filled her home with love and brought so much happiness and joy to her family.

Kimberly loved life and brought joy to many through her service and sense of humor. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone, and constantly expressed her gratitude to those who were around her. Kimberly lived her life to serve her family, friends, community and faith.  She was always lifting people up and helping them through service. She filled her spare time by providing meals and picking up groceries for her neighbors, watching kids in the neighborhood, helping teachers get caught up, church callings, etc. She showed compassion and inspired kindness in everyone who was around her.

Kimberly lived by the quote of “Let your smile change the world but don’t ever let the world change your smile.” Kimberly blessed so many people’s lives with her big heart and beautiful soul. She has left a hole in so many hearts and will be forever missed by those who knew her.

Kimberly is survived by her parents: David and Janet Jensen, her spouse: Samuel Darger, her five children: Schuyler, Kymbrey, Rennington, McCaeden, and McHayli, her eight siblings: David Jensen (Debbie), Scott Jensen (Rebecca), Karlene Jensen, Kevin Jensen, Kamille Lopez (Daniel), Jacob Jensen, Derek Jensen, Krysta McKay (Christopher), and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wayne and Lora Veater and Grey and Deloris Jensen.
