Charles Cheney

May 26, 1943 — July 18, 2020

Charles (Chuck) B. Cheney, our loving husband, father, grandfather, 77 passed away on July 18, 2020 due to injuries sustained in a bicycle accident.  Born May 26, 1943 in Prescott, AZ to William Clem Cheney and Eva Day Cheney and later moved to Salt Lake City, UT.

He attended East High School and graduated in 1961 and soon after was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Montevideo, Uruguay mission.

He was married and sealed to the love of his life and high school sweetheart Carolyn Ann Fagan on December 17, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Chuck graduated from the University of Utah School of Pharmacy in June 1969 and was a pharmacist for over 40 years.

Chuck loved all things related to the University of Utah. He was a long-time season ticket holder for football and basketball. He enjoyed playing pickle ball in recent years and has always enjoyed riding his bike. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed traveling all the world.

Over the years, he has found gratification in serving others. He served at the Joseph Smith memorial building, church history museum, and spent several summers in Nauvoo serving at the church history sites.

He is survived by wife Carolyn Fagan Cheney, children Scott (Margaret) Cheney, Kimberlee Cheney, Shawn (Jill) Cheney, grandchildren, Kylee Main, Saydi Wright, Jackson Cheney, Ian Cheney, Cooper Camargo and Danica Cheney.

Viewing will be held at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) Cottonwood Heights UT on Wednesday July 22nd from 6-8 p.m.

Graveside service will be held at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) Cottonwood Heights, UT on Thursday July 23rd at 10 a.m.
