Zenabeth Fereday

Zenabeth (Roderick) Fereday, age 83, peacefully passed away in her home in Cottonwood Heights on June 27, 2023. She was born on September 13th, 1939 in Preston, Idaho. Zenabeth was the middle child of Ralph Roderick and Nadine (Shumway) Roderick. Zenabeth graduated from Granite High School in 1959. She met her loving husband, Darrel Fereday, through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later got married on October 3rd, 1959, then later sealed in the Manti temple. She is survived by Darrel of 63 years, Jody Sanchez (Pat), Jack Fereday (Jennifer), Todd Fereday (Marianne), Shauna Fereday, Pauline Fereday, Jordan Levet, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and sister Adele King.

Zenabeth worked avidly with the Girl Scouts and held many callings through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including being a Primary President. While raising her kids, she was active in her community by sewing, cooking, and babysitting for neighbors. Zenabeth had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She truly lived her life by spreading joy to her family and friends and helping others whenever they were in need. Zenabeth was proud of the relationships she forged with her neighbors and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.

Proceeding her in death are her father (Ralph), mother (Nadine), sister (Arline Mann), and two daughters (Christy Levet and Teresa Fereday).

There will be a private graveside service for family only at Elysian Gardens on Friday, July 7th 2023, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. (Casual attire) Lieu of flowers. Please make a donation in her name to either the Christmas Box House or the Utah Food Bank.
