William “Tom” Zuehlke passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on January 27, 2023.

He was born William Thomas Zuehlke in Milwaukee, WI on March 6, 1932.  Tom married Genevieve “Jenny” Barnes in Manistique, MI in 1958, raised three children in Milwaukee, Denver, Butte, and Salt Lake City.

He was proud of his service as a Staff Sargent in the U.S. Air Force and served in Korea. After that, he had a long career in accounting.

Tom loved to travel; spend time with his family in our National Parks; he was an enthusiastic mountain climber, scaling 60 peaks including many of Colorado’s “Fourteeners”.  He was also an avid collector of rocks & minerals, fossils, stamps, and coins.  He loved sharing his knowledge in retirement years as a docent at the Natural History Museum of Utah.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Marie Zuehlke, son Thomas Zuehlke, and son-in-law Brian Reminder.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jenny (Barnes), as well as daughters Patricia Guerrero and Angie Zuehlke, granddaughter Kaitlin Beal (David), and grandson Christian Reminder.

Viewing and funeral mass will be at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, UT on Saturday, February 4th:   Viewing 10:30 a.m. – 11:20, Mass 11:30 a.m.  Directly after the mass, he will be entombed at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights. Reception at St. Thomas More church immediately following the entombment.
