1923-2015
Vern H. Bolinder died July 15, 2015 peacefully at his home. Vern died five days before his 92 nd birthday. He was born on July 20, 1923. He is the son of Jules Vern and Anna Bolinder. His father was a three term Mayor of South Salt Lake. He worked with his dad in their store, Lockwood Market. He has two brothers and one sister, Calvin, Royal, and Ireen.
He was valedictorian at Granite high school and received a full scholarship at BYU. When Japan bombed Pearl Harbor he joined the army and served his country well. After the war he married Vivian L Armodt and they had five children together, Vernon, Virginia, Valerre, Vicki, and Vincent. After Vivian passed away, Vern married Sara Julienne Jensen. Vern and Julieene adopted two children, Roger and Mark who also survive Vern.
Vern was hard working and had many businesses. He has a strong faith and never broke The Word of Wisdom. He will be missed by all.
A viewing will be held on July 25, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 5913 S Highland Dr. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 am. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
