1924 - 2012

Our Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother passed peacefully February 8, 2012. Born June 11, 1924, Albert Lea, MN. Mother grew up in Loveland, OK. She grew up in hard times during the depression and dust bowl storms. She was a WW II “Rosie the Riveter”, building the attack planes at Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa. She was a War Bride and married Jack T Huish and moved to Utah. She worked in management many years for the SLC School District. She was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions. Later in life she married Maurice Gardner (deceased) and they had many loving years together.

She had four children, Charlotte Kenyon (deceased), John T Huish (deceased), Jim Huish, Merced, CA, Debbie (Doug) Springmeyer Sandy, UT. She is survived by her two children and 14 Grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, 9 great -great grandchildren and sister, Dorothy Bates, St. George, UT.

Funeral services will include a viewing Fri., Feb. 17, from 6-8pm, Sat. Feb 18, 11-11:45 with services Sat. 12 pm all at the Winder 11th Ward, 951 East 3825 South.   Final resting place and dedication will be at the Wasatch Lawns Highland Dr.

In lieu flowers donations may be made to Perpetual Education Fund , 50 East North Temple Street, Room 1521 , Salt Lake City, UT 84150
