Sharalyn Rae Heeren Quinney, died instantly on April 10th, 2013, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto pedestrian accident while walking with her husband.

Sharalyn was born on May 21st 1938 in Grand Island Nebraska, the daughter of Boyd Wilfred Heeren and Esther Melvina North.
Sharalyn spent her childhood in Nebraska, Nevada and finally San Diego, California. At the age of nineteen, she converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She left her beloved San Diego to attend Brigham Young University, where she met and married the love of her life, Gary G. Quinney. They were married September16th, 1960 in the Los Angeles Temple.  They raised their in seven children in Salt Lake City.

Sharalyn enjoyed serving in many church callings, including 18 months as a couple missionary in the Charlotte, North Carolina mission.

She was an accomplished artist, the recipient of numerous awards, a talented interior designer and an avid volunteer in the community.

Her true joy was her family and she delighted in the love they have for each other. She and Gary never let a day pass with out expressing their love for one another. They are true soul mates and examples of unconditional love.

She found beauty in all things. At dusk, she often asked her children to "Go out and look at the sunset." Her signature good bye was "I love you more than the sky."

She is survived by her husband Gary, six children: Laura Nilson (Frank), Lisa Quinney Kelley (Jeff), Doug Quinney, Linda Quinney-Packard (Trina), Danny Quinney (Melody), Caroline Jensen (Brandon), Christi Love (John), fourteen grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, dear sister, Melva Ray (Bill), brother, Kerry Haynes (Alane) and numerous wonderful nieces and nephews with whom she was very close.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lisa Quinney Kelley.

The family expresses deep felt appreciation for the tender concern given by police, paramedics, staff at IMC Shock Trauma Unit and Intermountain Donor Services.

A viewing will be held at the Salt Lake Wasatch Stake Center 8170 Short Hills Drive, Salt Lake City Utah on Friday April 19th from 6-8p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the same address, on Saturday, April 20th at 11:00a.m. preceded by a viewing from 10:00-10:45a.m.  Burial at Mountain View Estates directly following the service 3115 East 7800 South ( Bengal Blvd).
