“Gone Fishing”

Roy Glen Smith, loving husband, brother, and uncle, passed away May 15, 2011 at home of a heart attack.

Born February 7, 1939, St. George, Utah to Leo George Smith, Sr. and Bessie Sharp Atkin. Married Linda Louise Larsen on September 27, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple. They met while working in Grand Teton National Park. Graduated from Olympus High in 1958. Worked at LDS Hospital for 37 years. Loved to hunt, fish and loved his cats.

Survived by wife, brothers and sisters, Lee (Bob) Call, Leo (Beverly) Smith, Larry (Marian) Doman, Nedra (Max) Lundberg, Roseann (Clendon) Merrill and Curtis (Peggy) Doman, brothers-in-law, Doyle Evans and Dean Wright and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, step-father, Rulon Doman and sisters, Rulene Evans, Joan Wright and Nita Backus.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 20, 2011, 12:00 p.m. at the Butler West Stake Center, 1845 East 7200 South, Salt Lake. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.), Salt Lake, Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday at the church from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment Lehi City Cemetery.
