Robyn Lynn Hastings

September 18, 1949 — July 19, 2023

Beloved wife and mother, the best friend anyone could ever have, Robyn Lynn Hastings passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023 in her home in West Valley City with family at her side.

Born in Salt Lake City to Robert & Marilyn Titus.

Robyn married John R. Hastings, May 1st, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They spent over 30 years together as lovers and friends.  John had never lived in Utah, yet met Robyn once and decided to leave California in hopes of starting a new adventure with her and never looked back.  If there were ever two people meant to be together, it was Robyn and John, he was always at her side.

Robyn had a love for children, animals, nature, and literature.  In her younger days on any given weekend you'd likely find her making her way to the rivers and lakes to spend her day with a fishing pole with those she loved at her side, and nobody could catch fish like she did.  She read countless novels, always enjoyed a good story, and shared her passion with others who may not have opened a book otherwise.  She was a wonderful mother, tiny but mighty, spoke from the heart and backed down from nobody.  Her husband calls her his little firecracker, as she was so full of fire and spirit.  She also loved to laugh and dance with her husband John who made her smile to her last days.

She is survived by her loving husband John R. Hastings; daughter and son in law Cyndie and Jeff Dube; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Michele Twitchell; and by grandchildren Devan, Kyra, Austin, and Daniel. Preceded in death by her brother Michael.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
