Ricky Thomas Dangerfield 1955-2023 Cottonwood Heights, Utah (67) peacefully passed away in his home in Cottonwood Heights surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 13, 2023 after a year long struggle with Leukemia. Rick was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 1, 1955 to loving parents Douglas and Leone Dangerfield. He was raised in Magna, Utah. He married Cindy West Dangerfield on September 13, 1978.
Rick is survived by his loving family, wife, Cindy, daughter Melissa Soto (Neil), sons, Jake Dangerfield, RJ Dangerfield (Karley Swain), daughter Kelly Paterson, Australia. His adorable grandchildren whom he cherished, Alyssa and Harper Soto, Matix and Nixon Dangerfield and Elyanna Swain-Arizo. Also survived by this brothers Scott, Craig (Julie), Kim (Deborah) and sister Michelle Dennis (Scott), Brothers-In-Laws Dean West (Kelley), and Don West (Jeanine). Preceded in death by infant son Danny, parents Doug and Leone Dangerfield, sister Denise, Cindy’s parents Wayne and Betsy West, brother-in-law Rick West.
The family would like to thank The Huntsman Cancer Institute for their compassionate care. A special thanks to his doctors Tibor Kovacsovics and Paul Shami, nurses and staff.
A celebration will be held on June 1, 2023 at Cannon Mortuary 2460 Bengal Blvd (7600 South). Visitation 4:30-6:00 pm with a celebration following at 6:30 pm.
