Nico Christopher Patino – Our loving Son, Father, Brother, at the age of 30 years old passed away on May 26, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Son of Alicia Patino and Zelios Mendoza. Married Ghurfran “Leli” Al-bander on July 20, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah, but later separated. Nico was known as a loving Father, Son, Brother.  He was described as having a huge heart and always willing to help others in need.  Nico was known for his love of dancing and being the life of the party.  His presence at family gatherings will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  Nico’s legacy will live on in the hearts he touched.  Nico’s hobbies included camping, BBQ’s, boxing, riding dirt bikes, going on canyon rides, spending quality time with his family and enjoying giving back to the homeless.

He is survived by his loving mother, Alicia Patino and father, Zelios Mendoza and 4 children that meant the world to him, son’s, Julian and Elias, “Dog” Chapo Patino, daughters, Gabriela and Jaelynn Patino, brother Joey  “Stephanie”, Alfonso “Davanna” Amaya, Sister’s, Adriana Chacon, Chante “juju” Tejero, and Ritta Legg.  Loving girlfriend that always had his back, Desirae Flores,  Nico leaves behind a large extended family of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as countless friends who were touched by his vibrant spirit.  Nico was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice Lara.

A visitation will be held June 6, 2024, at the Landmark Apostolic Church, 3950 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah from 11-12:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah
