Nancy Racker Neilson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, returned to her Heavenly Father on October 2, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of Leonard David and Fern Stevens Racker born on July 7, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Clyde L. (Pete) Neilson December 15, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was totally devoted to him until her death. Even as her memory failed her, she continued to speak kindly of Pete and expressed love every time they were together.
Nancy was caring, loving, kind and compassionate. She loved spending time with her family and devoted her life as a homemaker. One of her greatest loves in life were babies. She was so thrilled at the birth of each grandchild and the time she spent snuggling them. They still remember her singing "I Love You a Bushel and a Peck" to each of them. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in many capacities and callings.
Survived by husband Pete, children, Jeff (Teri), Steve (April), Heidi (Gary) Marshall, Kris Nelson(Glen Williams), 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and sister Lorraine (Jerry) Timmerman. Preceded in death by her father and mother.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, October 10, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Brighton 3rd Ward, 2325 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.). A visitation will be held Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Brighton 3rd Ward from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the day of the service from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment Holladay Memorial Park.
