Moses Exodus Green

December 17, 2024 — October 27, 2025

“Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” - Mark 10:14

Our sweet child was born Moses Exodus Green on December 17, 2024 to Brandy Hansen Green and John Green. He was born at 27 weeks gestation, was just 1lb 8ozs and 12" long, and his head was as small as a tennis ball.

He was three months early because of a condition called placenta insufficiency. He did not get a lot of the oxygen and nutrients he needed so was very small for his age. He had chronic lung disease and had to spend 280 days in the hospital out of his 314 days of life.

During that time, he became the favorite of every single nurse, doctor, and respiratory therapist that spent time with him. His infectious smiles made everyone fall in love with him, and his helpful hands always pulled his tubes out in an effort to escape, perfectly living up to his name.

Moses was ready to go see Heavenly Father several times in his life as he kept having bronchospasms and coding. But on August 26, over two months after his tracheostomy, our prayers were answered and he finally came home first.

We had him home for one amazing month, and moved Heaven and Earth to make it possible. He played with his siblings, joined in family prayer, got read to and sung to by everyone, and was supremely cuddled and spoiled. He had a collection of wonderful night nurses (especially Jenna), physical therapists, occupational therapists, and the awe-inspiring machinery and technology that kept him alive for so long.

On October 27 at 3:58pm, he was finally allowed to go back to Heaven. He leaves behind Christopher, 14; Adam, 12; Arthur, 10; Aria, 9; Joseph, 7; and Forrest, 4. He was preceded in Heaven by his older brother – lovingly nicknamed Greenbean – who was a stillborn. In the end, Moses was able to give the gift of life by donating his kidneys, liver, lungs, and heart.

We are grateful for everyone who helped make Moses’s life as long and joyful as possible.
