Michele Lee Boyd (Engel) beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, age 47, passed away on December 26, 2015, in her sleep at home of heart failure.

Michele was born January 26, 1968, in Murray, Utah to Jerry and Jillene Engel.  She married Scot A. Boyd on September 1, 1996 in Boise, Idaho.

Michele loved the outdoors, challenges, new experiences and hard work, usually at the same time.  She enjoyed horse back riding, long walks on the beach, sunny skies, and beautiful places. She was an avid biker, golfer, archer, basketball player, pianist, swimmer, soccer player, referee and martial artist. She interned with a Congressman in Washington DC.  She had a plethora of careers including: practicing law, clerking for the Idaho Supreme Court Chief Justice, fighting fires (with water rescue), teaching college students, instructing young swimmers, and her favorite job, being a mom.  She was an amazing mom.

Michele is survived by her husband, Scot; children, Rian, MacGregor, Jamicen; parents, Jerry and Jillene Engel; brother, Kevin Engel and his companion Lori Kunz; father and mother-in-law, Terry and Michele Boyd; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Kristi Boyd, Daren and Sandy Boyd, and Doug and Kellie Campbell.  She was preceded in death by her infant son, T.J. Boyd.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.)  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 E. Creek Road (7800 S.), Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
