1922-2016

Martha Elaine Houghton Ownbey Fontana, died peacefully at home on 8 January 2016 from natural causes.

Elaine was the sixth of eight children born to Edgar Willis and Matilda Johanna Sanderson Houghton, 25 January 1922 in Portland, Oregon.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore and two grandsons, Joshua Layne Fontana and Manfred Christian Ehrhardt, granddaughter, Sandra Fontana.  She served in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including four temple missions with her husband.

She will be missed by her children, Janice Ehrhardt and Kathryn (Louis) Raffetto.  She also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, Rachel Ehrhardt, Matthew Bush, Patrick Raffetto, Jason Rafetto, Anthony Raffetto, Daniel Raffetto, Andrea Rossow, Leah Simpson, Hannah Gurer, Andrew Raffetto, Jacob Raffetto, Mary Raffetto, Angelina Raffetto, Sabrina Raffetto, Sophia Alexis Raffetto, Barbara Fontana, Troy Fontana, Jeffrey Fontana, Shawn Fontana and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 12 January 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Butler 27th LDS Ward, 1845 East 7200 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT.

Special thanks go to the wonderful IHC Hospice personnel who were so tender and caring, especially Suzie Clark, Bonnie Jensen and Shawn Harris.
