Mark Lee Meriwether

September 17, 1956 — June 15, 2025

Mark Meriwether, beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by love. Born on September 17, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Betty Lee Miles and Thomas Newel Meriwether, Mark lived a life full of warmth, adventure, and devotion to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his soulmate, Collette; his children Monica (Brent), Chris, Chanelle, and Brandon (Jenefer); seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; as well as several cherished siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Mark was a man of many talents and even more heart. He could build just about anything, and he was an exceptional cook who found joy in preparing meals for those he loved most. Whether it was fishing with his children or spending time with his grandchildren, Mark treasured every moment spent with his family.

He loved to travel and found a second home in Bali, a place that brought him deep peace and joy.

Mark often met friends at coffee shops to collaborate, exchange ideas, and simply catch up. He had a drive and determination that were unmatched—one of his most defining and admired traits

He was also a classic prankster—always ready with a joke, a silly surprise, or a good-natured tease. Just as often as he dished it out, he was a great sport when the tables were turned, laughing just as hard when the joke was on him.

Mark’s presence was loving, strong, and kind. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and the love he leaves behind.

The family is planning a celebration of life near the end of summer. Details will be shared at a later date with friends and loved ones.
