1934-2017

Marilyn Saville Shaw, our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt died at the age of 82 on March 22, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born May 18, 1934 in SLC, Utah to Morris M. Saville and Ida B. Durtschi Saville. Married to Perry Clayton Shaw on August 30, 1957 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

She graduated from BYU and worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. Marilyn was a member of the LDS Church where she served in many positions. She was typically the last one out the door after church as she loved to visit with every single member of the ward.

Survived by her children Kristen (Rob) McMain, Steven (Lori), Janet (Robert) Draper. Grandchildren Kacee, Eryn, Nichole, Ashlee, Rob, Kellie, Lindsey, Karlee, Tyler, Caden, Madison, Christopher, Cameron, Sara. Sisters, Dorothy Davis and Elaine Turman. Preceded in death by her husband Perry, daughter Lorri Folkersen, sister Ann Burnett and brother Marvin Saville.

Our family would like to thank everyone who has been by our Marilyn's side supporting her through her fight with cancer with love, prayers, and your time. We also want to thank those who have supported our family through this hard time and heavy loss. We needed and have felt all your love. Marilyn's heart, fight, and faith have always been so strong, strong enough to last us for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Marilyn.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at her favorite Stake Center, with the organ she loves, 8170 S. Short Hills Drive.  A visitation will be held Monday March 27, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Cannon Mortuary 2460 Bengal Blvd. (7600 South)  and Tuesday prior to service at the church from 10-10:45 a.m.  Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
