Lynda Bea McBride

Lynda Bea McBride, a cherished mother, dedicated educator, and beloved sister, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born on December 22, 1948, Lynda lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to nurturing others.

Lynda was a devoted mother to her two children, whom she raised with warmth and wisdom. She leaves a legacy of love that will endure for generations. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Brian, who was taken from her far too soon.

An avid gardener, Lynda found joy in tending to her vibrant flower beds and vegetable patches, creating a haven of beauty and tranquility that she generously shared with family and neighbors. Her green thumb was matched by her love for reading, where she would lose herself in novels and the newspaper alike, always eager to share a comic strip, new story or insight with those around her.

As an elementary school teacher, Lynda touched the lives of many young minds with her patience, creativity, and passion for learning. She enjoyed working with her students and helping each to reach their full potential. Lynda’s talent and love of teaching impacted all who knew her.

Lynda’s gentle spirit, empathetic nature, and generous heart will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.

Survived by her children, Brittany McBride and Chris (Ashley) McBride; sister JuDee Brasher; and brother Lynn (Barbra) Brasher.

Graveside services will be held June 6, 2025 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery 3115 Bengal Blvd Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.

Visitation will be held June 5, 2025 from 6 to 8pm at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
