Logan David Mattson
1987-2017
Our Loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend finished his earthly mission, surrounded by the love of his family. He returned home peacefully to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the age of 29. Logan was born on June 17, 1987, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Matthew and Sheri Mattson. He was the second of seven children.
Everyone who had the privilege of enjoying his company will remember his legacy of kindness, compassion, and love. His friends, family, and loved-ones will always remember his sense of humor, gentle personality, and his ability to draw people towards his loving soul. He always gave to his family and friends, and he always expressed deep sympathies for the needs and feelings of others. Given his loving temperament – and the sympathetic lens through which he saw the world – he maintained a unique ability to reach into a person’s life, touch that person’s soul, and make the person feel more warmth and love than ever experienced before. We will always remember him for that, as everyone around him could not help but return the love and compassion that he imparted to this world.
He married his sweetheart and best friend, Cammie Pagan, on August 24, 2013, in Sandy, Utah. Together, they have two precious daughters– Lilly Rae and Lucie Grace – who were the light and love of his life. Logan was a devoted husband and father who loved his family more than anything else in this world. He worked hard to provide for them and anyone else who needed his love and support.
Now, Logan will meet his father, Matthew Mattson, brother, Levi Mattson, and daughter, Baby Girl in Heaven. His wife, Cammie Mattson, step-daughter Lilly Rae, daughter, Lucie Grace, mother, Sheri Mattson, brothers, Landon, Hunter, Tanner and Noah Mattson, sister, Lexi (Devin) Roundy, grandmother, Phyllis Rice, father and mother in law, Dennis and Cheryl Pagan, sisters-in-law, Shannon (Jason) Brown, Ali Pagan, aunts, uncles and cousins must now finish their earthly mission without him.
We mourn his passing, honor his memory, and rejoice in his life. Families are forever, and we know that he will be with us, embracing us through the rest of our journey here on earth, until we meet again in Heaven.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 4:00pm at Cannon Mortuary at 2460 Bengal Blvd, SLC, to honor Logan. His life was a “gift” to all who knew him.
