Lester George Barrett
Jr., our beloved husband,
brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 27, 2015. He was 83 years of age. Les was born on March 6, 1931 in Fresno, California to Lester George Barrett Sr. and Geraldine Legate Barrett.
Les is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Michael Allen Barrett. He is survived by, his loving wife Georganne Stembridge Barrett; sisters, Patricia Ann Smith and Darlene Joyce Cooley; boys, Stephen Randall Barrett (Ana), David Brian Barrett (Susan), and Todd Allan Barrett (Malina); Grandchildren, Brandy Gail, Sherry Jo, Stephanie Ann, Jessica Novaes, Bonnie Lee, David Brandon, Holly Jo, Amanda Ann, and Tyler George; and Great-grandchildren, Shelby, Morgan, Maddy and Abby.
Les had many friends throughout the western United States. His hobbies included snow bird travel for trap shooting, reading, politics, and a joyful leg pulling. He was affiliated with the ATA, Modesto Masonic Lodge, and Nevada Shriners He will be missed dearly.
A graveside service will be held on January 30, 2015, 4:00 pm at Mountain View Memorial Estates; 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights.
