Leanne Buie beloved daughter, sister and aunt, 56, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City surrounded by family, from complications of metastatic bone cancer. Born October 4, 1957 in North Ridge California to Thomas William Buie and Mildred Baker Buie, and later moved to Salt Lake City, UT where she was raised. Attending Granite High School, and Utah College of Massage Therapy. She worked as a graphic design artist and massage therapist, and most recently at Convergys. She served an LDS mission to Brisbane
Australia.
Leanne was a very talented artist and loved making all kinds of crafts and scrap booking. She shared her talents with and was adored by her many nieces and nephews and their families.
The last year of her life was spent being cared for by her Mother and sisters Lynn and Cindy. Her nieces kept her laughing and reminiscing for hours on end. She never lost her quick wit and sense of humor
A Memorial Service and celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday January 8 at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Blvd. (7600 So.). A gathering will take place at 11:00 am followed by a memorial service at 12:00. Graveside dedication to follow at the Murray City Cemetery.
Leanne is survived by her Mother Mildred, brother Randal (Cindy), sister Lynn (Randy) Nelson, and many loved nieces and nephews and their children who loved “Aunt Leanne.”
