Karol Ann Marchello was born December 18, 1945 to Maxine and Ervin Brande in Tooele, Utah. She has four siblings, James (Carol) Brande, Sandy, Richard (Shannon) Brande, Riverton, Joyce (Karl) Kennedy, Provo, and was preceded in death by both Gloria and her husband Ron Singleton of Kearns.  She is survived by four sons, David, Magna, Brent (Natalie), Provo, Joel, Provo and Brian (Suzanne), Astoria, Oregon. Four grandchildren, Zoe, Max, and Hayden, Provo and Sydney, Astoria.

Karol will be remembered for her deep love of her family, her kind heart and her generous spirit. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was always up for a trip or adventure. She will be remembered for her kind heart and extreme generosity, which was most often displayed in her piles of birthday, Christmas and holiday gifts that she would bestow upon her grandchildren. She was an expert candy maker, quilt crafter and storyteller. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her sweet spirit, kind words, infectious smile and laughter will never be forgotten. She passed away May 16, 2014, Provo due to complications from surgery. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank Keelie Hoaglin and the staff at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for their love and support until the end.

A visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Marrott Meadows Chapel, 102 North 2400 West, Provo, Utah, from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. followed by graveside services at 12:30 p.m. at the Provo City Cemetery, 6010 S. State Street, Provo, Utah.
