In loving memory of Judy Mary Birrell Larson, a cherished mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully passed away at the age of 84 on April 5, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her family.

Judy was born on January 29, 1940, to Earl John Birrell and Greta Mary Petersen. She spent her formative years in Salt Lake City, graduating from South High School. It was during this time that she met Robert R Larson, whom she later married in the Salt Lake City Temple on September 23, 1960. Together, they raised two daughters and created a loving home in Cottonwood Heights for the past 64 years.

Judy was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as the librarian for over 25 years. She loved going and being at church she would often stay after church just helping and visiting.

Judy loved people and socializing and she always had a smile for everyone. She had a talent for gardening and keeping a beautiful yard. She had many good years with her daughters’ snow skiing and going to concerts with her girls and later spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She loved to sew and was quite an amazing seamstress. She served as the ceramic leader in her church for many years. Judy loved music and encouraged her girls to participate in dance, choirs and musicals whenever they could. She loved decorating her home for the Holidays and having people over to visit. She also loved her extended family and getting together was very important to her.

Judy loved her grandchildren and did many outings and activities with them she was so proud of each one of them and loved to spoil them.

Bob and Judy joined the Corvette Club and have been active members for the past 20 years where they enjoyed meeting many wonderful people and participating in many car shows and even some parades.

They also belonged to the Utah Water Garden Society and Koi Club for the past 15 years and have enjoyed meeting new friends and visiting many gardens and ponds around the Utah Valley.

Judy is survived by her husband Bob and her daughter Tammi (Greg) and grandchildren Alex, Grahm (Yuri) Mckinley and Elsie and one special great grandchild named Go whom she just thought the world of.
