Joyce Estelle Luttrell

1928-2018

Joyce Estelle Luttrell loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother passed away on October 19, 2018 at Paramount Health and Rehabilitation of causes related to age.   She had just celebrated her 90th birthday at the time of her passing.

Joyce was born August 15, 1928 in San Francisco, California to Albert Giacomo Poli and Pauline Estelle Muriset.  Joyce married Donald Gail Luttrell, the love of her life, on October 16, 1959.  They became eternal companions and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland Temple on October 6, 1973.  Donald preceded her in death on August 15, 1993.

Joyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed serving in many different capacities.  Her favorite calling was that of Gospel Doctrine instructor.  She enjoyed studying the gospel and sharing it with others.

Joyce was very gifted and enjoyed sharing her talents.  She enjoyed writing poetry, painting, sewing, crocheting, and cooking.  She especially loved cooking for others.  She had a beautiful voice and loved singing.

Joyce had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.  She believed that laughter and keeping a smile on your face and in your heart can radiate and lift others.  Even with the health struggles that she experienced in the last years of her life she remained positive and was always smiling. She was an inspiration to those that knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by 6 children, Michael Kennaley (Rita), Daniel Kennaley (Pam), Deborah Meritt, Edward Poli (Patty), Donald Luttrell Jr. (Kim), and Seleena Luttrell.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one grandson.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to all those who cared for their mother and grandmother during the last months of her life, especially the caregivers at Paramount Health and Rehabilitation and Aspire Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018, at 11:00 am. Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights, Utah.  Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens,  1075 E. 4580 S., Millcreek UT
