Jenny Bennett

November 21, 1949 — July 1, 2014

Jenny Eleanor Bennett
November 21, 1949 – July 1, 2014

Our Sweet Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend; Momma Jenny returned home to her Heavenly Father on July 1, 2014. She was born November 21 st , 1949 to the late Mark Gale Johnson and the late June Maurine Anderson. She married Martin James Bennett in 1974 and later divorced.

Jenny was the greatest example of faith. Her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ is what helped her through so many health problems and inspired so many others to know that we have our trials to make us stronger. She always had a smile ready for the next challenge that came her way. Jenny lived for her children, she was there to support them, laugh with them and even cry with them. Her exemplary life influenced everyone who knew her. Jenny taught us all about unconditional love and how to forgive others. Jenny retired from working for the LDS church after 20 years. Her job was very important to her as were the many people that she worked with. Jenny enjoyed her grandchildren, shopping, going to dinner with her friends and family, and all of the simple things in life. Jenny just loved life! (“Toilet papering anyone?”)

She is survived by her children, Sandi (Richard) Young, Erik (Janiel) Bennett, Trisha Bennett, Chris (Autumn) Bennett; sister, Arlene (Robert) Jones and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband; step-mother, Betty Jo Johnson; step-father, Josef Anderson; brothers, Brent and Steve Johnson and sister, Maurine Cockerill.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South). Funeral services will be held Monday, July 7, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Union Fort 7 th Ward at 6770 S. 500 E. Midvale, UT, with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to funeral services. Interment will be at Bluffdale City Cemetery.

A special thank you to Dr. Whittington, Dr. Tien, the many nurses at Wasatch Dialysis and her sister Arlene that made her last year with us more comfortable.
