Jay Arthur Chamberlain, age 80, of Sandy, Utah, passed away on October 31st in St. George, Utah.
Jay was the second child born to Archibald and Virginia Chamberlain. He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, attending Edison Elementary School, Jordan Junior High School, and West High School. He later attended the University of Utah.
Jay soon found his life's calling when he started his first pipe, valve, and fitting business-an endeavor he remained passionately involved in throughout his life.
He had a lifelong love of sports, especially baseball and golf. Jay loved coaching, watching his grandchildren play, and golfing with his buddies. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and his passing leaves a large void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Jay was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different callings throughout his life. He also served a full-time mission for the Church in the North British Mission.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sara (Betsy); his children, Jay Jr. (Neda), Ann Fisher (Wes), Scott (Debbie), Jill Lamoreaux (Shannon), and Jed (Julie); 17 dearly loved grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his brother, Leon, and sister, Kris Hancey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
