1950-2017

James Allen Lindsay, “Papa Choo Choo,” our loving father and grandfather, 66, passed away March 2, 2017.

Born August 8, 1950 in Park City, Utah to John Allen Lindsay and Lela Beverly Himes. Married Diana Sather January 20, 1978 in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple. She gave him their precious daughter before returning to her Heavenly Father December 20, 1979. The gentle giant and overseer of homework will be desperately missed. Jim was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and long time member of the Golden Spike American Flyer Club.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife and parents. He is survived by his only daughter, Julie Chamberlain, her husband Jed and their children Traedon, Bailey, Saidy and Carson; Sister, Sue Ray and brothers Bill Lindsay and Mark Lindsay.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Butler Hill Ward, 2695 E. 7000 S., Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South), Monday from 6-8 p.m. and 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the LDS Missionary Fund or the American Cancer Society and help someone with their homework.
