Gerald “Tom” Thomas Ream, Jr.

Gerald Thomas Ream Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 14, 1950, in Aurora, IL to Gerald Thomas Ream Sr. and Gerturde Angeline Ream. Gerald and his wife Linda moved to Cottonwood Heights, UT in 1979 where they raised their two daughters.

Gerald was a devoted Chicago Bears fan and also cheered for the University of Utah football team. He liked spending his weekends watching NASCAR races and golf tournaments. A history enthusiast, Gerald especially enjoyed reading about World War II and would occasionally dive into research on the subject.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Linda Ream, and their two daughters, Casey Nuttall (Chris) and Carrie Wessman (Jon). He was a proud grandfather to Ella Angeline Wessman (18) , Jackson Patrick Nuttall (17), Cash Thomas Nuttall (17) , and Samuel Grey Wessman (15) —each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Gerald’s legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and in the values he passed down through generations.

A memorial service will be held in the fall at Bountiful City Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life.
