Gene C. Roose, loving husband, father and grandfather, 83, passed at April 24, 2016 at his home.
Born December 22, 1932, Bryan, Ohio to Kenneth and Marian Roose. Married Lorene Gilson, June 10, 1955, West Unity, Ohio.
Gene served in the U. S. Army. Sang Barbershop with the Beehive Statesmen, a baker at LDS Hospital for many years.
Survived by wife, Lorene; sons, Carl (Marilee), Tom; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cory) Shirts, Jamie Roose, Sarah (Lee) Jensen, Zachary Roose and K.C. Roose; great-grandchildren, Megan and Cameron Shirts and Tess Jensen; brother, Jerry Roose, West Unity, Ohio; sisters, Peggy Hartman, West Unity, Ohio and Carol Cunningham, Kenton, Ohio.
Private graveside services and interment will be held at Mountain View Memorial Estates.
