Frances "Fran" Shirley, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed peacefully after struggling with complications of dementia the past nine years on February 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 10, 1934, Council, Idaho to Francis Parley Feik and Gladys James Feik. Married Rowan Dee Shirley, June 3, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Fran enjoyed making up her own healthy recipes, sports and walking in her Mrs. Shirley shorts. Member of the LDS church serving several times as Relief Society President and ward chorister.
Survived by husband, Rowan; children, Angela (Steve) Bringhurst, Dawnell Briggs, Steven (Linda), Darla Shirley, Shireen Shirley (fiancé Kelly Pickering), 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, sister, June (Bruce) Everton. Preceded in death by son Spencer Shirley.
Graveside service will be held Friday, February 10, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6-8 p.m.
Fran is so happy to be free of this disease and be with her son, Spencer.
