Euelues Cora Winward Abplanalp 83, of Cottonwood Heights, UT died August 17, 2013, resting peacefully, at Sandy, UT. Born July 13, 1930 in Vernal, UT to David Andrew Winward and Lottie Helen Gray. Married Jay F. Abplanalp July 14, 1948 in Vernal and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple.
Euelues spent her youth and early life in Vernal later moving to Salt Lake to support her husband in the family business, operating Jay's Gulf Service Station for many years in the Cottonwood Heights area. Mom loved her roses and gardening in her yard.
She is survived by her husband Jay; daughter, Pamela (Bill) Curtis of Colorado Springs, CO; sons, David (Flora) Abplanalp, Littlefield, AZ; Kim (Sandi) Abplanalp, Riverton, UT; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, and sister, Fay Davis, Sandy, UT. Preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Alfred
Kidd; brothers, Thoral and Leland, sister, Helen and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Cottonwood Heights 3rd Ward, 6890 South Whitmore Way (2225 E.) Cottonwood Heights, UT at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at the Cottonwood Heights 3rd Ward, Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 6-7:30 p.m. and the day of the service from 10-10:45 a.m. Internment in the Vernal Cemetery following a graveside service on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
