A saint became an Angel on October 3rd, 2023. Betty passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Betty’s love and generosity for her family was unmatched- She was a giver and a “go getter”. She loved to take her grandchildren shopping while gracing the malls in her cheetah print clothing. Whatever they desired, Grandma would provide. She sacrificed so much for all those that she loved. Betty was a wonderful mother, sister and friend. Her circle of friends was large, and she loved them dearly. She loved to host and entertain and always created a fun environment at her parties and get-togethers.

She created a life of luxury and beauty, but along the way faced many trials and tribulations. She lost her daughter, mother, father, two brothers and two granddaughters throughout the course of her life. Throughout these times of grief, she had the strength to walk her journey with dignity and grace.

Betty was a beauty (a real head turner). She took great care of herself. You could often catch her at the track putting in the laps too. She was stunningly beautiful inside and out. Betty was the living version of the cartoon character “Betty Boop”. Those close to her always referred to her as such –

She came from Scotland and took great pride in her heritage. Her only filter was the truth. She had an honest soul and would tell it how it was, with no excuses. She had great wisdom and knew that the answer to life was love. She was the epitome of love, and we are so grateful to have been loved by her. She loved her Savior and knew that He lives. Her reunion in Heaven, we are sure was beyond grand. After all that Betty gave in this life, we know she was welcomed with many open arms at the Pearly Gates! She will leave a huge hole in the hearts of everyone that knew her. She will be extremely missed. Until We Meet Again.

Born on May 11th, 1939, to George and Doris Sinclair. Married to Don Petersen. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Daughter (Jenny), Husband (Donnie), Brothers (George and Doug) and her granddaughters (Rubie and Kylie). She is survived by her loving sister Heather. Along with the lights of her life – son Scott, two daughters Lisa and Bonnie (John), grandchildren Jasen, Parker, Rennie, Raegan and great grandchild Nolan.
