Deloy K Godfrey, our loving father, grandfather, brother, age 72, went to sleep on July 4,2014 and passed away from natural causes.

Born January 5,1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Delbert and Erma Godfrey. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Lavar, sister Rolene, son Shane K, and daughter Brandy K.  Survived by sons, Rio, Tim( Danielle), Kelly(Denise), daughter Brandy L. (David), brothers Arvin, Veron, Lamon, sister Deon, grandchildren Mckayla, Ethan,Tayven, Dakota, Joshua, Devin, Hallie, Noah, and great grandchild Liam.

Services to be held, Friday, July 11, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd,  (7600 S.) Cottonwood Heights.  Family and friends may call one hour prior to service.  Interment Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Fielding Memorial Cemetery 4602 S. Yellowstone Highway, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Deloy spent every day of his life living the philosophy, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". He did so with his whole heart. He helped, supported, forgave and found no flaws in those he loved.

He was a quiet soul whose dedication to his children ran deep.  He was quick to help, without questions or judgement. His sacrifices were many and knew no bounds. He worked hard every day to make sure everyone was taken care of, before taking care of himself; never asking anything in return, yet silently teaching us all to do the same.

He always had a smile on his face, a joke on his lips, laughter in his belly and true love in his heart. To know him was to know a truly great man. He will be missed by all who had the honor to know him.

May our love lift you into heaven to the arms of your waiting family.  It's ok, rest now Daddy, Grandma has you now.
