Curtis Charles Stoddard

1942 – 2012
Our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at home February 22, 2012 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Curtis was a humble hard working man who would do anything for anyone he knew. Curtis was raised in a large loving family where a strong work ethic and honesty were instilled in him at a young age. Curtis became a business partner with his best friend and brother, Ron. Together they ran Stoddard Steel, an honest and hardworking business. Curtis devoted all he had taking care of his family and friends, who were always his top priority. Curtis was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman who shared many wonderful camping and hunting trips with his family and friends. He was a man of many hobbies, which included golfing, bowling, fishing, archery and pool where he was a member of South Valley and BCA Leagues. Throughout his life he was a very active man, establishing a place in many people’s hearts. He will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Curtis will be deeply missed, for his friendships were loving and genuine. He was more like a father than an uncle to many family members. Curtis is survived by his sons Todd and Tim (Amber), daughter Toni (David) and grandchildren Sierra, Malcolm and Makayla. An evening viewing will be held Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Blvd. (7600 South), Salt Lake City.
