Clifford Otto Brey

1938-2011

Our beloved father, grandfather, opa, brother, and friend, Clifford Otto Brey, passed away on June 20, 2011, of natural causes. We take comfort in the thought of his heavenly reunion with his two sons, Jeffrey Brey and Mark Brey, who preceded him in death.

Clifford was born April 19, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Otto Brey and Herta Tuchel Brey. He married Carol Beardall in the Salt Lake Temple. Their home was blessed with seven children. They were later divorced but remained friends. Cliff loved his family. His children and grandchildren were the greatest joys of his life. Cliff enjoyed sharing his hobbies with his grandchildren.

He was a faithful member of the LDS church. He served a full-time mission in the West German Mission and, later in life, served in the Bountiful Temple. He also served his country in the Army Reserves.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Brey, James (Heather) Brey, Kurt (Melinda) Brey, Kami (Tomo) Ishikawa, and Todd (Katie) Brey, 18 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Robert (Becky) Brey, Carol (Max) Van Leeuwen, Margie (Barry) Tripp, and Steve (Kris) Brey. He was preceded in death by his two sons; parents; sister, Frances Brey and sister-in-law, Megan Brey.

Special thanks are extended to Harmony Home Health, Bennion Care Center, and Bristol Hospice for their loving care in Cliff’s final days.
