Loving wife, mother and grandma, Claribel Gabasa, passed away of natural causes on May 21, 2014.
Born December 16, 1922, Buenos Aires, Argentina to Giuseppe and Audelina Encina Persico. Married Egeo Angel Gabasa, May 23, 1943, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Faithful member of the LDS Church, held many positions in Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society. She served two missions with her husband and was a Temple Matron at Buenos Aires Temple and also worked at the Los Angeles Temple.
Survived by husband, son, Max Newell (Marcia) daughter, Ines Clark; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, May 24, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) where a visitation will be held the day of the service from 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Interment, Wednesday, May 28, 2014, 11:00 a.m. Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
