Caren Leigh Olson Chesnut Whittington Covington, beloved mother, daughter and companion, passed away unexpectedly and too soon on June 19, 2013.
Caren was born December 22, 1973 to Thomas Olson and Valerie Wright Olson in Santa Monica, California. The family moved to Salt Lake 1979. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1992.
Some of her happiest days were spent with her horse, Cannon. She deeply loved her four children who were the jewels in her crown. Her spirit was one of service and she enjoyed the many years she worked as a nurse’s aide.
Survived by children, Tevin Olson, Michael Whittington, Jr., De’Andra Whittington and Quincy Covington, mother and step-father, Valerie and Gilbert Montoya, companion and friend Michael Whittington, Sr., numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her father Thomas Olson and grandparents, William and Adrienne Wright and Peter Edwin and Irene Edmunds Olson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 12:00 noon at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South). A visitation will be held the day of the service at Cannon Mortuary from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.
