Candace Austin

February 27, 1978 — January 28, 2026

Candace Austin, our one-of-a-kind sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, passed away on January 28th, 2026. Born on February 27th, 1978, in Santa Barbara, California, to Robert Michael Austin and Terry Hendrickson, Candace was a truly free spirit, always on the go and living life with a creative energy that was all her own.

She saw the world through an artistic lens and expressed herself through countless forms of art. Whether she was acrylic paint pouring, making jewelry, or creating custom apparel and accessories with her Cricut Maker, her hands were always busy creating beauty. Her most recent passion was working with resin to craft plates, serving platters, cubes, and trinket boxes, often incorporating natural elements like flowers, wood, rocks, and seashells.

Beyond her own creations, Candace was an avid collector. She had a deep passion for rocks, gemstones, and geodes, appreciating them for their unique properties and energies. She also took great joy in her collection of sugar skulls. Above all, Candace loved a wide variety of music—and she especially loved playing it loud while she was driving.

She was truly kindhearted—she would help anyone she could, never hesitating to give of herself to make someone else's day a little brighter. She was constantly moving toward the next person who needed a hand.

Candace was preceded in death by her father, Robert Austin; her brother, Brandon Austin; her sister, Kym Austin; and her grandfather, Monte Hendrickson.

While her time with us has ended, we find comfort in knowing that her journey has led her to a place of ultimate peace. She spent her life seeking out beauty and positive energy, and we believe she is now surrounded by the very love and light she always sought to share with others. We find solace in the vibrant soul she was and the unforgettable memories she left behind.

To honor Candace’s vibrant and free spirit, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared via Facebook once arrangements are finalized.

We love you, Candace.
