Rebecca Sue Jones Stevens (Becki), 54, of Draper, Utah on Wednesday, August 24th triumphantly made her heavenwards transition after an arduous battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Becki was born January 13, 1957 in Salt Lake City Utah to Dean and Ruth (Strong) Jones. She was raised in Salt Lake, graduated from Brighton High school and attended the University of Utah. During her youth she especially loved the visual arts and enjoyed painting and creating pottery. She married Kim Rigby Stevens June 25, 1976 in the Salt Lake temple.

Becki was an avid reader and especially loved gospel learning. She loved to teach, inspire and share her love and knowledge of the scriptures and their historical context with others. Becki served faithfully and zealously in every ward and stake calling she held. More than anything, Becki loves the Savior and loves her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful spouse, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by friends and family and will always be appreciated for the light and passion she shared.

Survived by husband, Kim Stevens; children: Brett (Jessica), Emily, Brooke (Ryan) Mattice, Shellie and Jacob; grandchildren: Nathan, Tyler and Tessa Stevens, Landon Mattice; mother: Ruth Jones; siblings: Lori (Steve) Flygare, Lisa (Todd) Conley and Mark (Kristen) Jones. Preceded in death by son, Nathanael (1989) and father, Dean Jones (2007).

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29th at 11 AM at the 575 E. 13800 S. LDS Chapel in Draper. Viewing will be Sunday, August 28th from 6 to 8 PM and the day of the funeral from 10 to 10:45 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Becki has asked for you to donate to your favorite LDS church fund.
