Beatrice Mary Hartin

Beatrice Mary Hartin “Mom—Grandma Bea—Bumble Bee—also affectionately known as Guppy” peacefully passed away, surrounded by and hand-in-hand with loved ones, at age 87, of natural causes on March 22, 2026. Born in Orange, New Jersey, she was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ, and a strong matriarch to her family. “Guppy” proudly graduated from Weber State University’s School of Nursing in 1988 with honors, and when she passed the Registered Nurse exam on her first attempt, she ran through her home shedding tears of excitement and joy. Earning her nickname “Bumble Bee,” she became a dedicated and highly respected RN of 27 years. Serving as an Emergency Room, Psychiatric, Field, Rehabilitation, and Charge Nurse, her accomplishments called her from Texas to California while fulfilling many challenging and advanced medical capacities.

“Guppy” shared her lifelong affection for all animals, with a profound passion for all things equestrian which dated back to early childhood. She will be remembered as a fierce family guardian, with uncompromised and unconditional love for her entire family. Aside from “Guppy’s” ancient love for family and desire to be with them all, her “happy place” was on the backs of her horses where she was often found with that beautiful “Sally Field” smile and sincere laugh.

She is survived by her sister Isabel Gotti-Cloak, sons Raymond Perrine, James Perrine (wife Karyn Perrine), and Verdun Hartin (wife Heather Hartin); grandchildren Ashlee Perrine (wife Felicia Perrine), Ryan Perrine (wife Andraya Perrine), Abigail Vangerwen (husband Jack Vangerwen), Louis Perrine, Whitney Smith, Danielle Gledhill (husband Taylor Gledhill), Amber Perrine (fiancé Alex Bailey), Benjamin Perrine, John Hartin, Keeley Hartin, Aleeah Hartin (fiancé Lucas Bacikalo), and Elijah Hartin; great-grandchildren Riley Perrine, Ellayna Perrine, Bodi Smith, Kenadee Barney, Harvey Gledhill, and Hali Hartin; and daughter-in-law Kimberly Perrine. She was preceded in death by her mother Eileen Utman, father George Utman, brothers Brud Utman, Michael Utman, Les Utman and Jerry Utman, as well as her loving son David Perrine, and her adored grandson Christian Perrine.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor from 4 PM to 6 PM on March 30, 2026, at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
