Anne Snarr

January 12, 1943 — October 30, 2018

Anne Elizabeth Whittier Snarr of Holladay, Utah, passed away on October 30, 2018 surrounded by her family at LDS Hospital after a brief illness. She was 75 years old.

Anne was born on January 12, 1943 to Cecil Hamlin and Elizabeth (Worthen) Whittier in Milton, Massachusetts.  She graduated from Fairhaven High School.

Anne had a passion for poetry and received her bachelor’s degree in literature from Boston University.  She loved sharing poetry with those around her and taught her children to recite poetry and literature classics.  Anne felt most happy in life when she spent her summers at the Whittier Camp in Bristol, New Hampshire, or at the ocean, or practicing her guitar.

Anne joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days saints in 1966 and served faithfully in many callings.  She married Robert Taylor Snarr for time and all eternity on March 5, 1971 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Anne and Robert started their family in Fayetteville, Arkansas, later moved to Laconia, New Hampshire – where they raised their family for 25 years, and later moved to Saint George, Utah, and finally Holladay, Utah.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents.

Anne is survived by her husband; her daughters, Elizabeth (Doug Schlick), Meghan (Brian LaBardi); her sons Sean (Aurelia Moran), Ryan; four grandchildren, Lindsay LaBardi, Sarah LaBardi, Laura LaBardi, William Snarr; three sisters, Carolyn Tyler, Susan Dineen, Ruth Whittier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial held at Holladay Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Essential Tremor Foundation https://www.essentialtremor.org/
