Alfred (Al) Wesley Taylor, an outstanding , bold, and unique, man passed away April 27, 2012 at home. He had been battling a variety of illness for many years. Finally he is free from pain and suffering. His courage was outstanding. He would not give up because he was tired or hurt and could not be emotionally broken. He faced what life threw him and kept a happy, positive attitude. Al was born July 7, 1940 in Salt Lake City to John B. and Lucy Dennett Taylor. On May 12, 1960 he married Patricia Brown Taylor in the SL Temple. Served his country in Co. C 19 ^th Special Forces. Enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest no matter what. Loved his family with great passion and his many friends as well. Adored being in the company of children. Possessed a magical personality and was a constant comedian through thick and thin. A man of many talents including photography, architecture, gardening and overall jack of all trades. Outdoor enthusiast who knew our canyons like the back of his hand. Outdoor activities were a favorite pastime. Employed at Johnson & Johnson for 37 years. There he built a successful career and made many lifetime friends. He was respected for his many accomplishments and came to be known as a legend among his colleagues. Member of the LDS church where he served in many callings.

Survived by wife Pat, son Michael (Spring) Taylor, daughter Kimberly Harames, grandsons Nicholas & Austin Taylor, granddaughters Taylor & Emily Harames, sisters Linda Noyes and Roma (Mike) Laputka.

Services will be Wednesday 12:00 p.m., May 2 at the Brighton 6th Ward Chapel, 2925 East Bengal Blvd (7800 S). A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 1 at the Cannon Mortuary 2460 Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. and also at the church prior to the services 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Elysian Gardens 1075 East 4580 South.
