Funeral Recording

Rebecca Ann Thompson, beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt and friend, passed away September 10, 2019.  She passed after having cancer three times throughout her life.  The most recent lung and bone cancer ultimately took her life.  She battled these last cancers with courage for over for 20 months.

Born June 19, 1969, Salt Lake City, Utah to Keith and Wilda Thompson. Married Roy Hedden on October 16, 1998 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Rebecca’s greatest happiness was her children.  She loved watching her kids play ice hockey and softball and was so proud of the adults they have become.  Rebecca’s soft heart, kindness and contagious laugh, made her so much fun to be around.  She became fast friends to everyone she met.  She loved all her extended family and valued their love and friendship.  Going through cancer three times showed her warrior spirit and how strong she was.  All her life she was focused on helping other people feel better no matter what she was going through.

Survived by children, James “Drake”, Reagan; mother, Wilda Thompson and her final sibling Randy Thompson, many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by father, Keith, brothers, Ric, Larry, Bryce sister Sharese Thompson as well as two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 18th at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located on 2925 East. Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights Utah, 84121.  Viewing before the funeral has been scheduled at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  Internment Murray City Cemetery.
